SPAWN THE MARAUDER
May 2007 Series 31 Original: Spawn the Marauder
Before Spawn the Marauder makes its debut in Series 31: Other Worlds around April 2007, he was a Spawn living in the fantasy world of "Spawn Godslayer", a graphic novel released in October 2006 and written by Brian Holguin and illustrated by Jay Anacleto.
As Bairn, he was very much in love and happy when war took him away from home where he naturally died and accepts power from a powerful master...
he became a slayer of gods in the fantasy world, thus his other nick - Spawn the Godslayer. You can't imagine the hell I go through having to explain to my Catholic family why he wants to slay God!
Despite 64 pages, there are very few good pictures of this Spawn! Everytime he appears, it seems to be a blur.
The 3D effect of a collectible figure of course overcome this limitation and I must said that the end result of this figure is above my expectation.
In June 2007, the first issue of Spawn: Godslayer was released. Well, maybe a better masked Spawn the Marauder would appear soon.
