Spawn CG from Mariano Steiner
I got a nice CG magazine last night. I unexpectedly found there was Spawn CG from an artist, Mariano Steiner, inisde the pages. It was sculpted with Zbrush, rendered with 3dsMax with Mentalray. This Spawn CG won the "Best Model, Best Thread and Beauty Render" in CGTalk's HCM Challenge (Dec 2010).

Spawn Figures To Return
Here's the info from the 2011 NYCC McFarlane Panel
McFarlane is going to be launching a new online store where he will be selling his various merchandise and toy figures. First up is resin statute of Spawn.
Soon the online store will be selling some of the harder to find classic Spawn figures, such as Mandarin Spawn. First though an inventory has to be done of the existing molds. If necessary molds of the original figures can't be found, new molds, meaning new designs of the characters, will be created.

"Spawn: The Beginning Statue" is based on the McFarlane's first Spawn prototype drawing. The drawing was published on 1991, on the cover of the "Stan Lee Invites You To Visit The Comic Book Greats: Todd Mcfarlane" video tape.

CBLDF Liberty Trading Cards
There are a number of outlets to support the comic book community's first line of defense against censorship, but at $3.50 a pack, Cryptozoic Entertainment's Liberty trading cards might be one of the easiest ways to raise money for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Arrived in stores last Tuesday, September 13, each pack of five cards draws from a 72-card set.

Both Hunter R and I have taken a long hiatus from this blog to concentrate on our work. Remember, it is our jobs that feed our hobbies! And we are both holding senior management positions that afford us very few luxuries of time.
Still it is good to be back and my first task is to update "A Chronological List of Spawns Appearing in Comics", having missed out on issues since April 2011. It would be continually updated of course. Next is "Hellspawn Project by Hunter R".
Well, that's it then.
