RENEGADE SPAWN

There are two official versions of this Native American Spawn:

Photobucket
June 1997 Series 8 Original: Renegade
Renegade Spawn, together with Curse of the Spawn I is a figure from Series 8 released in June 1997. There are collectors I met who refuse to recognise Renegade as a Spawn because the title of the card only simply print 'Renegade' but guys, guys, read on:
  • notice the 'M' on his chest?
  • the backcard that read "a Spawn can exist in many forms throughout the tracks of time. Renegade was chosen to be a Spawn because of his superior battle skills with edged weapons and his bow and arrow..."
  • and best of all, check out this article in End Cap May 1997 "Renegade stalks into the line also. This Native-American Spawn is well-articulated and has a removable headdress-cowl. Guiding him in his adventures in early-America is his faithful companion, a bald eagle..."
Satisfied?

Photobucket
November 1997 Series 8 Repaint: Renegade
Released as a repaint in November 1997.

"...Renegade travels across the land in search of his nemesis Sabre vowing to seek revenge for Sabre's senseless destruction of the land." Sabre is the nemesis of Renegade, a bison with attitude. Don't Sabre bears an uncanny resemblance to Alien Spawn I? Image from spawn.com.

The photograph on the card is that of the original prototype which was equipped with a spear and war clubs.
