SPAWN i109
Straight from the cover of Spawn issue 109, the concept must have been intriguing.
A Spawn descending down from a wall looks good on a picture and obviously it would look good in its original prototype but turning it into a best selling figure is another story.
October 2003 Series 24: Spawn i.109
Based on the cover of Spawn Monthly Series #109 “The Kingdom Part III” drawn by Greg Capullo and published in June 2001. It was released as part of Series 24: The Classic Comic Cover in early October 2003.
The cape, which looks remarkably similar to Spawn i.098 is pretty dominant. The figure beneath it is completely overshadow.
Display-wise, this is what a viewer is going to see. Beautiful but where is the face!
You got more cape than figure...
Wall Climbing Spawn, Crawling Spawn, whatever, the cape is is not the dominant issue here, it is Spawn attacking a member of the Scaredy-Cat gang who was caught with a dead pigeon. Together with the black cat of i.088, that makes it two cats in a single series!
