April 2006 Trading Series 1 Original: Mandarin Spawn
The new Trading Series 1 makes life miserable for both card and display collectors with their closed box concept: 12 figures in 3 different paint schemes of original, metallic and repaint, making it a total of 36 configurations. These mini-figures were hidden in a blind box which demands collectors to buy a lot of them which I refused to do anyway; I simply stalk eBay. Of the 12 figures, only 8 are Spawns and presented here in alphabetical order: Mandarin Spawn. One of only two Spawns in trading series to have two figures based on actual models - the original red.

December 2006 Series 30 Original: Spawn X
From the webcomic called The Adventures of Spawn. Regular Spawn series did without a Spawn 10 because of this figure. He is the 10th Spawn in the webcomic, thus Spawn X.
For display collector, there is an option of displaying him unmasked and his head is not rotten because in this new spinoff comics, he is not dead. In The Adventures of Spawn, he is described as another Al Simmons, not the same Al Simmons in the original comic book.
