The Background of Omega Spawn

Although Omega Spawn is a machine from the future (a kind of good Hal), he is actually one in a series of robots built in the year 1889 by the mad (what else) scientist Norvel Peabody. The other robots are named Alpha Spawn, Beta Spawn, Gamma Spawn, Delta Spawn, Epsilon Spawn, Zeta Spawn, Theta Spawn and Vector Spawn. Except for Vector, the rest are named after the Greek alphabets. After Peabody's death, the robots remained hidden until 4097 when the Forces of Light brought them to life. However, the Forces of Darkness managed to corrupt them...except for Omega Spawn who is sent back through time to aid Al Simmons and prevent the future that is to come (how terminator can you get). More details can be obtained from the article in the official website.

Unlike Al Simmons, Omega Spawn is 150lbs lighter and possessed limited but useful powers such as the ability to take flight, shoot energy beams through the eyes, perform self-maintenance and communicate with any known computer systems.

December 2006 Series 30 Original: Omega Spawn
Omega Spawn is the second Spawn to be featured in Series 30 titled as 'Adventures of Spawn'. The other is the star - Spawn X.

As with Spawn X, display collectors have an option of displaying the figure with or without weapons.

He can transform his fists into plasma cannons he called "Omega Cannon".

Omega Spawn is primarily off-white with a grey 'M' symbol on his body.

The Omega Squadron

Omega Spawn commands the Omega Squadron, a collection of four robots he created in his own image.

This Squadron is released as part of Series 32: Adventures of Spawn II. An article has been written about them in Secret Files, check it out.

October 2007 Series 32 Original: Omega Squadron
He is an exact duplicate of Omega Spawn but the paint scheme is different - he is grey with a light blue 'M' logo and there are four of them that a completist has to collect.

The bots are identifiable through the numbers on their left legs.

In February 2008 (November 2008 for the hard copy) webcomics of Adventures of Spawn, the Omega Squadron was overwhelmed by the demons sent by Mammom during the battle between the Forces of Light and Forces of Darkness. That image would make a very good diorama.

Bot No.1 guest-starred as the figure knocked down by Daniel (played by Jimmy Bennett) in the 2009 movie 'Orphan'.
